Gov. Wolf has signed the bill to move Pennsylvania's primary election date to Tuesday, June 2. 

New deadline to register to vote:  Monday, May 18

New deadline to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot: Tuesday, May 26, 2020 by 5 PM

New deadline for absentee and mail-in ballots to be returned to the county: June 2 


 A Note about COVID-19 Virus impact on PA Primary Election:

In anticipation of the COVID-19 virus, the Montgomery County Commissioners announced on Thursday, March 12, that they are encouraging all voters to apply for a mail-in ballot. Learn more here.



Offices up for election in the 2020 Primary will include U.S President, U.S. Representative, State Senator (odd-numbered districts) and State Representative, and state row offices.

New Voting System!

In 2019, our county introduced a voter-marked, optical-scanned paper ballot, providing a verifiable paper trail, to enhance voter confidence and election security. The same system will be used in the 2020 Primary and General elections.
